This week’s album news features announcements from the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Queens Of The Stone Age, Josh Pyke, Beaches, and many more!

KIRIN J CALLINAN

In support of his forthcoming album Embracism,Kirin J Callinan is headed on a national tour this weekend. The 11-track LP isn’t out until June 28th, so if you’d like a little taste of what’ll be on it, be sure to catch one of the shows.

FRANK TURNER

April 19th marks the release of UK punk-rocker Frank Turner’s fifth studio album Tape Deck Heart. It will be released via Polydor/UMA.

JOSH PYKE

Acoustic indie/pop talent Josh Pyke has just announced the release of his fourth studio album. The Beginning And The End Of Everything is due out on July 5th, and boy we cannot wait! Check out the trailer.

SKILLET

Following their 2009 hit release Awake, rockers Skillet have announced there’s a new album on the way. Their newest offering Rise will be available on June 21st. Take a listen to lead single “Sick Of It”.

THE TRANSPLANTS

In A Warzone is the latest album from American punks The Transplants. It’s due out on June 28th via Epitaph records.

JIMMY EAT WORLD

Jimmy Eat World have announced the release of their forthcoming album, an album that will be supported with a worldwide tour. Get excited! Damage is expected to be released on June 7th, and you can check the tour dates here: http://jimmyeatworld.com/tour/

GAY PARIS

The Last Good Party is the forthcoming album from Gay Paris, and it’s due out next week on April 19th!

ALISON MOYET

Alison Moyet returns with her first album since 2007, an 11 track collection titled the minutes. It’s due out on May 10th.

RALFE BAND

Son Be Wise the new album from Ralfe Band is set for release on June 3rd. Check out the first single “Come On, Go Wild”.

TURIN BRAKES

Along with the announcement that they’ve got a new EP coming out and an album on the way, Turin Brakes are headed to our shores for the first time in 10 years. EP Xerox is due out next week, on April 19th, following which they’ll head on tour and then begin work on their sophomore album. Sweet.

JOSHUA REDMAN

Saxophonist Joshua Redman has a new album on the way. Titled Walking Shadows, the album comprises a 12-track collection of ballads.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE

Queens Of The Stone Age have confirmed their new album …Like Clockwork will be released in Australia on May 31st.

AMY GRANT

May 10th marks the release of Amy Grant’s first LP in 10 years. How Mercy Looks From Here features 11 tracks that represent a season of growth.

BEACHES

The five psych-rock ladies of Beaches have a forthcoming sophomore album. She Beats is due out on May 3rd.

COSMO’S MIDNIGHT

Fresh Sydney duo Cosmo’s Midnight have just been signed to Yes Please and with it are ready to announce the release of their upcoming EP on May 8th. “Phantasm” is the first single to be lifted from the twin brothers’ forthcoming collection.

PARQUET COURTS

American punks Parquet Courts have also been recently singed, joining the Create/Control ranks. With it comes the release of their debut LP Light Up Gold, to be released on May 10th.

SAM AMIDON

Since his recent trip down under Sam Amidon has announced the release of his forthcoming LP Bright Sunny South. It’s due out on May 17th via Nonesuch Records.

ALGERNON DOLL

Algernon Doll aka Ewen Grant returns with his sophomore album Citalo-pop on June 10th via Common Records.

AMALI WARD

Aussie pop songstress Amali Ward is ready to release her debut full length Back In Time on May 3rd.

JUNIP

Sweden’s Junip have announced the release of their self-titled sophomore album. It’s out on April 26th via Shock Records.

QUICKBEAM

June 3rd is the release date for Quickbeam’s debut self-titled full-length record. Take a look at the first track to be lifted from the Glasgow four-piece’s collection.

HIGHNESS

Highness’ debut album Hold is set for release on May 14th. The quintet’s 9 track listing will be released via Magic Bullet Records.

NICOLA MILAN

Jazzy WA lass Nicola Milan is set to release her debut album Forbidden Moments on May 10th.
